But I read that many people say, that polishing them gives you better results.
Also if you add that translucent layer on top (see above) you get more dimension.
Have you tried water with ice cubes right after baking?
And also, what clay are you using? For translucent I usually use Cernit as this (and I think Pardo) is more translucent than others, For example I read that Sculpey is sort of yellowish? But I haven't tried Sculpey, yet.
I really hope this helps. I'm no expert with creating translucent stones, in this project I was lucky but the Indian Jewellery didn't turn out as I wanted.
I also asked my questions to the Facebook community because I was frustrated. Here's the link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/Pandorasfroggies/permalink/1539653896338612/
There might be some more more tips for you. If you're not a member of this Facebook group you should definitely become one, it's awesome :)
Have an awesome day :)Floraphinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15009506577934312875noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3947745295305701841.post-29835799866519551112016-07-07T07:25:50.806+02:002016-07-07T07:25:50.806+02:00Happy Wednesday! I don't really want to start buffing my faux-stones...I use glossy varnish for effect now. Any ideas for me? Thanks! -StephAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12129314082573499184noreply@blogger.com
